FAQ
In the current generation of iXsound active electronic exhaust, we have improved the quality and realism of the sound with a new processor and increased RAM. We now have 15 different V8 bassy exhaust sounds available to our customers, including powerful misfires and a dynamic start option. The sound of the iXsound 3.0 system is now even louder and richer with new high quality 100 mm and 130 mm drivers. We’ve also expanded the range of driver sizes, making it easier to install an active exhaust system and expanding the options available.
Installing an iXsound active exhaust on a vehicle is simple. The sound speakers are mounted under the rear bumper using a mounting kit. The electronic exhaust requires connection to the on-board electrical system near the fuse box and the CAN bus near the OBD2 diagnostic connector. In total, only 4 wires are used for connection. Next, the iXsound mobile app is installed and a sound profile is set up. You can control the new explosive sound of your car either from the mobile app or from a button in the cabin.
Unlike the equipment of other manufacturers of sound tuning solutions, when installing iXsound Controlled Exhaust, the vehicle's OEM exhaust system is not subjected to any physical impact. Installation of our system does not require drilling and welding, unlike the straight-through exhaust system, which is not suitable for diesel engines. Active exhaust iXsound can be installed on both gasoline and diesel, hybrid and electric cars from 2009 European, American, Japanese, Chinese and new Russian makes and models of cars.
Yes. iXsound is the best acoustic solution, having high-quality exhaust sound and meeting the road safety requirements of electric cars all over the world. Installation of the iXsound system on electric cars takes no more than 2−3 hours, it does not require welding and drilling, so it does not violate the factory warranty on the car.
Every car produces the sound of an active exhaust differently. The result depends on the engine, gas pedal, electronics and data rate of the particular car. The technical capabilities of our system, unlike other tuning solutions on the active exhaust market, provide an opportunity for preliminary testing on the customer’s car even before the system is installed on the car. As the installation of the system is carried out without welding and drilling and does not affect the operation of other systems, the car retains the dealer warranty and will be serviced without any problems.

The active exhaust system can be easily transferred to a new car. You can change your car more than once and iXsound stays with you. The system has an unlimited service life.
Our system uses a special cut corrugation DKC, which has high resistance to aggressive media (gasoline, oil, diesel fuel) and ultraviolet radiation. Temperature mode of its operation ranges from -50C to +150C, due to which it prevents the spread of fire and protects the car from fire in case of short circuits. In addition, when connecting the equipment, an additional fuse is installed on the entire system, as well as a separate special protection against overheating and short circuits in the unit.
Our system has no temperature limits. In performance and temperature tests, it has proven its reliability and resistance to extreme temperature variations.
Earlier we used MiniUSb connector for plugging in the electronic module, which was designed specifically for installation on compact electronic devices. Over time, we have switched to a more modern and unified USB-C connector.
